Book Challenge

Five days until the six month novel challenge starts. For those that are not aware, I have challenged myself and anyone else that wants to join me in writing a novel from beginning to end in six months.

The idea is to have the first draft done within this time frame. Rewrites and stuff will come later. The point is to have a complete, and probably rough, novel done by the sixth month. I'm doing this because I need to work on time when it comes to getting my books finished. Taking years just isn't cutting it anymore.

I'll announce the genre I'm writing in on Friday when I start. I'm going to be trying a different genre to challenge myself and diversify my profile.

So five days to get prepared for those that are joining me in this challenge.

More posting

My Community Manger is going to kill me. I was supposed to post stuff a few days ago. Anyway. So I was going to begin writing my next novel yesterday, but things didn't pan out and I think I'm going to wait until next week to start. For all those that don't know my goal is to write a novel from start to finish in the span of 6 months. That's my challenge. So if all goes well then next week I'm going to start. If you have been wanting to write a novel and want to join me in this six month challenge hit me up. The idea is to get my ass moving. Quick update. I'm still meeting with my beta readers for Wrathful Echoes, that's coming along great. Second edition of Wicked Tides is coming along as well and hope to have that done shortly. I'll let you guys know when I begin the 6 month challenge hopefully at the end of next week.

Friday update posting

So it's Friday and this weekend instead of having fun I have to finish up graphic design on the new Wicked Tides bookmarks and the map for the second edition print. The second edition I'm hoping will be out sooner than later, but there's always the publishing process to go though which takes time. I've also got a meeting with one of my beta readers tonight and holy crap do those take up a lot of time. It's awesome to have a Friday night full of someone telling you how much you suck. My last book signing went well and it looks like there might possibly be a book tour in California in September. I'll let you guys know about that when I find out more. I'm still in the middle of doing all of the research for my next book. This is eating up time like crazy. It's weird switching modes from a dark fantasy to a completely different genre. I haven't announced what this new book is about yet, but I'll let everyone know about it soon. I'll also have some of my radio interviews up soon for those of you that are curious about them. Learn from my mistakes! Enjoy your weekend. I know I won't..

Interviews

Q: Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written. I am an author and a illustrator.  I have illustrated for two children's books, Pick Me Pick Me and Monte's Lost Colony.  I have written two dark fantasy novels Wicked Tides and Wrathful Echoes. Q: What was your inspiration for writing the dark fantasy Wicked Tides? I was really getting sick of typical fantasy.  Whether it be movies or book everything was the same.  There was no reality in anything I was reading or seeing and I felt that created a huge disconnect to the story being presented to me.  Tired of no one cussing and the lack of extreme blood and guts portrayed in a realistic fashion just bothered me to no end. Q: What are you working on now? I am currently in the publishing process of the sequel to Wicked Tides entitled Wrathful Echoes.  The manuscript has been turned in and the beta readers are currently going through it and ripping it up.

Latest Update

So quick update on everything going on. Wrathful Echoes is in the hands of all my beta readers and I am now getting all of their conflicting opinions which is awesome. I have no idea how I am going to work all this out, so should be fun times ahead. I have a book signing this Friday at the Carson Lit Fest. Apparently it's outdoors. Never done an outdoor signing so that should be fun. I'm gearing up for my next book which I will begin writing in the next week or two. It's not the next book after Wrathful Echoes, but instead a different project. I want to see if I can write a book in 6 months. So it's a personal challenge. I'll keep you guys up to date when I start that up. I am currently in the research phase of this project but I feel as though I am just about done and ready to start writing.
